[He looks down at the paper menu at the different drinks, reading through each of them. Blended drinks? Jesus look at those prices- definitely out even if they do sound delicious. ]
I'll try a grande cold brew then.
[Then he glances at the pastries and deserts sold. He notices that a cheesecake in there, sliced up and served by the slice.
....]
And how much would it be for the whole cheesecake?
Re: Action;
[she slides a paper menu across the counter and points to the selection of cold coffee drinks]
There's your classic iced coffee with or without milk and sweetener.
Then there's cold brew, which is different because it uses cold water instead of hot. So it has a milder, less bitter taste.
And last, there are the blended drinks. Where there's more ice and we put it in a blender.

Re: Action;
I... I think it's $36. They sell it for $3.50 a slice, and there's 12 slices, so it is a little cheaper to buy the whole cheesecake.
Action;
He takes a deep breath as he considers it]
Yeah, I'll take the whole thing.
Re: Action;
Of course. One cold brew and one whole cheesecake, coming up.
[she sets about making his cold brew, but accidentally grabs the pitcher of iced coffee base instead]
Do you want milk or sweeter?
Action;
[He'll start digging out his wallet so he can pay for this, not at all aware that she's botching up the drink]
Milk's fine.
Re: Action;
[Li-Na finishes making the drink and sets it on the counter, unaware it's going to be more bitter than expected, and goes to box up the cheesecake.]
Do you need plates and forks?
[Because she thinks he's taking it to a party or something.]
Action;
Oh, nah. [he holds up a fork he just grabbed from the utensil counter] I got one.
[One.]
Re: Action;
You like cheesecake, huh?
[and here is the whole cheesecake, in a box]
$38.50 is the total.
Action;
[He'll dig into his pocket and pull out two $20 dollar bills to hand to her. ]
Re: Action;
[Li-Na looks at the twenties and shakes her head a little as she puts the money in the till.]
I'm still getting use to American money. This would be about....... maybe 300 Hong Kong dollars? It's so weird to be thinking in smaller numbers.
[she holds out Noah's change]
$1.50.
Action;
[He'll hold out his gloved hand to take the change]
Thanks.
Re: Action;
[She flaps a hand. Who wants to talk about money anyway?]
So there's your cheesecake and your coffee. Please enjoy!
