[And five minutes before 1, Li-Na arrives at A Sweet Bojour]

[ ann is there right on the dot, and she's carrying what appears to be a small little gift, wrapped in a little box. ]

Hi, Li-Na! Thanks for meeting me here!

[ and then she hands li-na her present! ]

Here. This is for you! Merry Christmas!

[invocate]

[Li-Na's eyes light up when Ann hands her the gift]

Oh! Thank you, Ann!

[she excitedly, but carefully, unwraps the box]

[ladytakamaki]

[ inside of the box is a small little necklace with a star pendant embellished with little jewels! it's charming and just a way to accessorize.

there's also a card that reads:

Li-Na,

I'm so glad we met this year! Thank you for being an awesome friend, and let me know if you need anything, okay? I've got your back!

[Li-Na lets out a small gasp as she sees the necklace]

Oh, it is so pretty!

[Noticing the card, she reads it, then smiles at Ann]

I am glad we met, too! Thank you for being my friend, Ann.

[Now, let's get this necklace out of this box and around her neck.]

[ it looks gorgeous on her. ann smiles in approval. ]

Of course, but I should be thanking you. Really.

[ she's grinning from ear to ear. she's glad li-na likes her present! ]

OMG SHE DOES! ... i keep forgetting orz

[in the process of putting the necklace on, Li-Na has to pull down the hood of her sweater, revealing her newly greened hair, pulled back in a braid]

Mhm. Just for--

[ wwwwaaaait a second--that hair. that hair!!! ]

L-Li-Na! Your hair! It's so....long and green!

[Li-Na reaches up a hand to touch the side of her head]

I woke up with it Christmas morning. Is it... strange?

[ladytakamaki]

Not at all!

[ well... ] I mean, the color's definitely different, but you really rock long hair. I'm so jealous...you can pull off both short and long hair, Li-Na!

[invocate]

Thank you. I am still learning how to... style long hair.

[she fiddles with the end of the braid]

Getting used to the color is going to take longer than getting used to the length I think...

It looks nice. I think it's a good shade of green; like, it doesn't stand out too much, you know? It's perfect.

[invocate]

I think I like the color. I just hope my teachers at school do not suddenly think I am a trouble student. We were not allowed to dye our hair this kind of color at my old school.

[or dye it at all really]

Hm... Would you want to die it back? I mean, it'd be kind of annoying since you'd have to keep coloring it, but...

No... that would be too much trouble in the end. But if it stays this way permanently... I might need to. I do not know if I can dance professionally with this color of hair.

[ladytakamaki]

Wait--you dance? What kind of dance?

[ HOW DID ANN NOT KNOW THIS. ]

[invocate]

Ballet. Though I am taking jazz lessons right now. I want to study at Recolle University this fall.

[fingers crossed she gets in]

[ladytakamaki]

Really? Then good luck! I hope you get in, then we can meet up on campus for lunch!

[ and that would be exciting! sometimes ann forgets that she's older than li-na. ]

[Li-Na smiles wide]

Thank you. That would be fun, meeting for lunch. Are there good cafes on campus? I have not looked at the campus much, except the arts college.

[ladytakamaki]

Yeah, there are! There's some coffee shops on campus, there's a Starbucks...a sandwich shop...you'll never go hungry, really. Just be sure to budget for food if you're gonna buy a lot.

I probably will not buy a lot. But it is nice to not eat your own cooking sometimes.
